About five years ago, Amy came to me seeking a fresh new look for her logo. She felt disconnected from her old logo and wanted something that would endure while embodying her company’s new name: FifthClass Climbing School and Guide Service.

Our objective was to design a logo that showcased her work as a female guide and reflected the mountains surrounding Bishop, where she runs most of her trips.

We experimented with various interpretations of the number five before settling on a five-sided shape that subtly represents the idea of “fifth class” climbing. I enjoyed the creative process of this project and assisting Amy in realizing her vision.
